Meet Dr. Orseck
Dr. Orseck is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is formally fellowship trained in Cosmetic Surgery, at New York University and the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. Dr. Orseck is also specially trained in reconstructive microsurgery, including DIEP flaps, completing a fellowship in Gent, Belgium.
Since 2014, he has been recognized as one of Castle Connelly’s Top Doctors, and has been voted Best Plastic Surgeon by the readers of the Herald Journal in Spartanburg.
With over 10,000 successful procedures completed, Dr Orseck continues to focus on aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body, as well as DIEP flap breast reconstruction.
Dr. Orseck serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery, Plastic (AHEC) with the Medical University of South Carolina, where he remains actively involved in education by teaching surgeons in training. He continues to publish his research in many of the top plastic surgery journals.
When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his children, Gabby and Jake. Playing guitar, tennis, and running keep him busy as well.

I have to say that Dr. Michael Orseck was a God send! I had a double mastectomy and was interested in the diep flap surgery. Unfortunately the doctor who was supposed to do my surgery did not have the equipment to do it. I waited for over 5 months and still no surgery. Finally I was told that if I sought out other options that he would understand. I immediately called Dr. Orseck and within one week my surgery was scheduled and completed in a month. I have gotten so many compliments on the work that Dr. Orseck did and I recommend anyone looking to have the diep flap surgery to definitely give him a call. You won't be disappointed. When I first met Dr. Orseck and his team in January 2024, I was despondent. I had been diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2022, treated with chemotherapy, and had a DMX with failed reconstruction in October 2022. I spent the next 13 months dealing with a failure to heal. During those 13 months, I longed to look normal, instead of someone marred with scars. During my cancer journey, I had heard about Dr. Orseck's ability to perform DIEP flap procedures and decided to schedule an appointment. From the onset, Dr. Orseck and his staff put me at ease, assuring me that it was possible to achieve the desired outcome I sought. Last week I did undergo DIEP flap surgery, and even though I am still healing, I am delighted with the results! My only regret is that I didn't seek Dr. Orseck's skills sooner!!

I can’t explain adequately how much this meant to me. So far I am ecstatic with my results!!!

Dr. Orseck and his team’s humble confidence in themselves has given me the much needed strength, courage and confidence I need to get through this next phase of my healing process with my fight against breast cancer. I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer at 32 years old. After a double mastectomy, delayed and immediate reconstruction with tissue expanders, implant exchange and nipple reconstruction Dr. Orseck has me feeling more comfortable in my skin than I ever did with my original breasts!
